BG PARKS REBRANDS TO ‘ROAM’ CULMINATING AN EVOLUTION IN OUTDOOR ADVENTURE EXPERIENCES AT SELECT FLORIDA STATE PARKS
MIAMI – June 18, 2019 – ROAM (Recreational Outdoor Adventure Management), formerly BG Florida State Parks, a leading operator of outdoor recreation and hospitality, is introducing its new brand amid an advancement in available amenities, programming and event management services across the state parks under its management – Oleta River Outdoor Center inside Oleta River State Park, Whiskey Creek Hideout inside Mizell-Johnson State Park, Park & Ocean inside Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, and Surfside Grill and Adventures inside Sebastian Inlet State Park.
ROAM offers unique recreational outdoor experiences that complement local natural resources and invite visitors to enjoy a variety of amenities for self-guided and guided adventures, such as kayaks, canoes, standup paddle boards (SUP), mountain bikes, full moon and sunset tours, SUP yoga, and more. In addition, ROAM seeks to ensure that visitors have desirable, craft food and beverage options available inside the parks, such as restaurants Park & Ocean at Hugh Taylor Birch Park and Blue Marlin Fish House at Oleta River State Park. The company has also introduced a series of signature events, such as “Jaws on the Water,” an in-water screening of the critically-acclaimed film in Oleta River Outdoors Center inside Oleta River State Park, and “Brunch & Paddle,” a morning SUP session followed by brunch and mimosas on the beach in Whiskey Creek Hideout inside Mizell-Johnson State Park. Moreover, all the amenities and services provided by ROAM can be custom packaged for private events, including corporate team-building activities, weddings and other catered parties.
“In introducing the brand ROAM we are taking our park experiences to the next level and moving our company forward with what we are all about – getting out and doing more,” said Dane White, co-owner and chief officer of operations of ROAM. “We want people to get excited about the unique experiences they can have in their own backyard at any one of our extraordinary parks throughout Florida.”
White was formerly the Director of Operations for BG Florida State Parks and is taking a central role in advancing the company in its new iteration.
“Evolving BG Florida State Parks to ROAM marks a great achievement in bringing local communities back to the state parks,” said Bobby Genovese, founder of BG Florida State Parks and co-owner of ROAM. “ROAM brings you the best of the outdoors and something for everyone.”
ROAM is seeking to extend beyond state parks and into other local and even national parks.
